Move On 03:06
Well it's time to turn over a new leaf It's time to sail off on a new reach Cause the wind is fair And the time is right For a change in our minds The time is right To Move On
2.
It was a magic start that brought us together In a timeless space that stars shine on The flight from Nashville, well it must have flown to heaven A flight from nowhere, Straight to the heart
3.
Had i died you loved me What a tragedy Gone to the grave before I knew what Love could be On my way to another time Another life to live Looking for that one true love Like time through a sieve.
4.
Yesterday I saw her comin through the trees Today I got down on my bended knees And asked her for her hand in Love Cause though our time together Is like a short sweet song A love such as this just Couldn't play too long Pure and Easy Some times I've found how love comes so fast And other times I've found how just don't last Loves they come so fast
5.
Siftin Sand 02:30
Never been a rich Man No silver, silken gold or jewels No planetary poison Pushin me on through This world or the next one The future or the past All I ever wanted was a love that would last ..... Came to this life lookin for a love Who was lookin for me .... All I ever wanted was to be with you Siftin sand just a lookin for you Made of Man just for you The time has come to be with you
6.
You know, nothing lasts forever, even diamonds grow old Greens turn gold Even sand was stone And life is like lightning It's fast as a flash Love it while you have it before time pushes past Cause time, it makes a deal with no one.... leaves us pushin up daisies. Pushin up daisies. Imagine if yo will A sphere in space A lovely garden girl A most beautiful place Where what we have is all we need Where what we nee dis all i seed Where Love... She hears a voice from no one And she's left Pushin up daisies
7.
Earth Blues 03:29
It's not the clock that turns the tides Or sees the Sun to set and rise The Moon it is that ebbs the flow And the sun comes up all on his own You know we used to live under skies so blue when the Sun and Moon said what to do And the Moon and Stars told secrets of A timeless place once full of love But now it's glass and steel that keep us from The World outside and her turnings of It's growth and greed that blind us to The changes we been putin her through With blood red skies mistaken for Red skies at night the sailors lore And waters that once were clean Well they need be purified by machine
8.
Silhouette 03:56
She was always surprised to see her silhouette It's a side she didn't know A side she didn't like I mean what do ya do When you don't like who you look like And the place that she came from From that she had to run To where she didn't know no one And she could be any one But did she even know herself She started out so young
9.
Tina my Baby I love the day That you came to me and said you'de stay Because a love like ours it knows no wrongs Like the Mocking Bird it sings many songs you know it writes all wrongs It writes love songs Oh she holds lightning in her hands She makes blue diamonds from cold sand She talks to butterflies all day She wears jewels Turquoise flowers and Jade You know I love her ways She's a dream away
10.
Foxes in the trees That's how she dreams Like wind through the leaves She leaves shadows like moon beams On the hill they dance with the stars Taking turns who leads Like a dance she moves through time With grace and ease She's moving on through the rhymes To where love never bleeds And on the way she takes truth To be her traveling needs Said Little Whistler Take me along Said Little Whistler Make me your song

about

An album inspired by Love and life:
Curtis Prince is genuine; so is his music. His songs are legitimate confessions straight from his larger-than-life heart. The reason for this is that these songs were a long time coming; a result of observing the people and places that endlessly streamed in and out of his life. In short, the songs themselves have just as much of a story behind them as they do within.

Curtis the singer/songwriter is a relatively new thing, but Curtis the musician has been around for quite a while. Growing up in a musical family, his love for The Dead, Clapton, and Hendrix quickly turned him on to playing the guitar, which he soon mastered. After attending Berklee School of Music, the temptation for rock n roll was too great, and he formed his own bands, as well as sitting in with countless acts in the great venues of the Boston area. After notably touring with blues legend Eddie Kirkland, Curtis spent the next years of his life moving around the country, spending some time honing his skills in the music mecca of Austin, Texas.

As the years took him miles and miles, Curtis began to pay more attention to the singer/songwriters that were performing in his circles. He knew he had a lot to show as a guitar player, but he also had something to say; and he was ready to say it. Like most great art, it took tragedy to get his inspiration. The next few years saw the death of his father, and his own personal illness, and then the death of his dog, Sam. During this time his relationship with his long time love became much stronger and more beautiful, and from this came Wishing for Rhymes.

Wishing for Rhymes, Curtis' debut solo album, is a phoenix-like rebirth. Filled with honest lyrics and ripping guitar licks, it represents everything that has brought him to where he is now. It was worth the wait. Wishing for Rhymes has received acclaim from publications such as Indie Music Magazine, and the single, "Miles and Years," was chosen as one of their top 25 songs for 2011, and remained at #3 on their folk/rock charts for 6 weeks. The album is also seeing increasing radio airplay. Curtis is currently touring the East Coast of the United States, and will be doing a full tour of Europe in the Spring of 2012. The momentum is undeniable.

Curtis Prince's music is the kind of music that demands. It demands that the listener, sits down, pays attention, and lets the song and story wash over them. Like the music he grew up on, it asks the listener to invest the time. After all, it was miles and years in the making.
